PM: Those Who Want to Raise Troops to Fight and Take Back Kampuchea Krom, I’ll Prepare the Coffins and Bury the Dead

TAKEO: Prime Minister Hun Sen responded to comments made on his Facebook page saying Cambodia should gather troops to attack and reclaim the Kampuchea Krom region from Vietnam, regardless of history, by saying that he will leave those who want to take back Kampuchea Krom to fight this war on their own and he will only prepare the coffins and bury the dead for them.

The Prime Minister made this statement while speaking at the inauguration ceremony of the new section of National Road No. 3, held in Tram Kak district, Takeo province, on Monday morning.

He stated that according to history, the loss of Kampuchea Krom land occurred long before he was born, and today Kampuchea Krom has fully become a part of Vietnam with a clear map that is internationally recognized.

Therefore, he said of those who want to go to war in order to take back this land, "Let them go and fight on their own, I will prepare the coffins and bury the dead for them."
